SSC GD Constable 2018 admit card released

SSC has released the admit cards of GD constable for the recruitment of constables in CAPFs, NIA, ans SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

The admit card can be accessed from the website http://www.sscsr.gov.in/

The exam is to be conducted from Feb 11 to March 11, 2019.

Pattern of the Exam

The exam is computer based online exam.

The pattern involves 25 questions each from General Intelligence and Reasoning, Elementary Mathematics, English/Hindi and General Knowledge and General Awareness. So total marks amount to 100. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). So, that leaves the candidate with ample time unlike SSC CGL and CHSL where the candidates have to attempt 100 questions in one hour.

What to Study?

General Intelligence and Reasoning includes Number series, Syllogism, Spatial Visualisation, Figures, Analogies, Non- Verbal Series, Coding- Decoding, Blood Relations, etc

Elementary Mathematics includes Number System, Basic Arithmetic, Percentage, Ration and Proportion. Average, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Mensuration, etc

General Knowledge and General Awareness includes Indian History, Geography, Culture, Economics, Constitution and Indian Polity, Science, Current Affairs (refer https://dotsias.com/blog/current-affairs-quiz/)

English/Hindi includes Verbal Ability, Vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, idioms, spelling, one word substitution), Grammar (Active Passive, Direct Indirect, Tenses, Question Tags, Articles, Nouns, Pronouns, Concord, Gerund, Conditional Clauses, etc), Comprehension (Passages, Cloze Test)
