Notification for Recruitment of LIC – Assistant Administrative officers (Generalist)

Voila! LIC has notified its recruitment for AAO – Assistant Administrative officers (Generalist). Let us see the details of the exam.
The LIC AAO exam has three phases which are, the Preliminary Exam, the Mains Exam, and the Interview.
The prelims are qualifying in nature and the final merit list will be released based on the marks secured in the Mains exam and the Interview.
Candidates should know the details about the examination, the eligibility criteria, the examination pattern, the different phases of the examination, and the LIC AAO Results.

Before applying online, candidates should be ready with/ for the following
Scan their photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications.
Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process.
LIC may send call letters for the examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID.
In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile number before applying on-line and must maintain that email account and mobile number.
Important Points to be noted before Registration
- Candidates should scan their :
- photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
- signature (with black ink)
- left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink)
- a hand written declaration (on a white paper with black ink) (text given below) ensuring that all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications.
- Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
- The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged. (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying.)
- The text for the hand written declaration is as follows – “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
- The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only. If it is written and uploaded by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid. (In the case of Visually Impaired candidates who cannot write they have to get the text of declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)
- Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
Eligibility Criteria
- As on 01/01/2023 shall be as follows
- Age – Minimum 21 years- Max 30 years
- Relaxation as per central govt rules
Educational Qualification
AAO (Generalist) – Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University or Institution. The result of the same should have been declared on or before 01/01/2023.
Emoluments and benefits
Basic pay of Rs 53600/month in the scale of 53,600-2645 (14) -90630-2865(4)-102090 and other admissible allowances as per rules.
Service Conditions
The advertised posts are regular and selected candidates, on appointment, are liable to be posted or subsequently transferred anywhere in India.
Probation
One year probation from the date of joining . This period may be extended upto 2 years.
Application Fee
- Mode – Online
- For SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates – Intimation charges of Rs 85 + transaction Charges + GST
- For all other candidates – Application fee cum intimation charges for Rs 700 + transaction charges + GST
Pattern of Exam
The Selection Process for LIC ADO 2022 examination will comprise three stages.
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview
Phase I – Preliminary Exam
Note : English Language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.
Candidates equal to 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be short listed for Main exam.
Phase II – Main exam
- Main examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks.
- Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online.
- The objective test will have separate timing for every section. Candidates will have to answer descriptive test by typing on the computer.
- Descriptive test will be administered immediately after the completion of the objective test.
Note :
- Descriptive test of English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.
- Descriptive paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in the objective part of main Examination.
- Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the online examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview.
- The minimum marks to be obtained in each Section and cut off marks for each section and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC. Descriptive test of English Language etc. is of qualifying nature and marks in this test will not be counted for ranking.
Calculating the Scores
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile equating method.
The Scores of Online Examination are obtained by adopting the following procedure:
- Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Score.
- The score so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores* * Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.
- Test wise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal point upto two digits.
Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.
Guidelines for online examination (Preliminary and Main examination):
Valid Call letter for the respective date and session of Examination with a photograph affixed on it 2) Photo Identity proof (as specified) in original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter / application form
Photo copy of photo identity proof (as mentioned in (2) above)
Arrive Early
Though the duration of preliminary examination is one hour, candidates may be required to be at the venue for about three hours or more including the time required for completing various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving instructions etc.
For Main examination, the duration of examination is two hours and 30 minutes but the candidates may be required to be at the venue for about four hours or more including the time required for completing various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, Biometric data capture, logging in, giving instructions etc.
Phase-III: Interview
Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for short listing for interview.
Commensurate to the number of vacancies, LIC reserves the right to fix the minimum eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum qualifying marks to qualify in the interview. Maximum Interview marks are 60 and qualifying marks for EWS, Unreserved, OBC are 30. Qualifying marks for SC /ST/PwBD candidates are 27.
Candidates who do not obtain the minimum qualifying marks as decided by LIC shall be excluded from further selection process. The decision of LIC in this regard shall be final and binding on the candidates and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to availability of successful candidates in the online main examination and will be purely as per their ranking in their respective category.
Outstation candidates called for interview shall be entitled for re-imbursement of Second Class Ordinary to and fro Railway/Bus Fare by the shortest route from the place of residence to the place of interview to be restricted to the fare by Railway Second Class Sleeper including the Reservation charges.
Marks obtained in Main examination plus marks obtained in interview will be considered for final merit listing.
Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination:
Shortlisted candidates in final merit list will have to undergo Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.
