Finally, the long awaited KAS (Kerala Administrative Service) has been notified. Let us see the important details:
Last date of application – 4/12/2019
Exam date – Feb 2020
Age – There are three categories of candidates who can apply for the exam and each category has different age limits

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized by a University established by Government of Kerala or UGC or awarded by National Institutes established by the Government of India.
Scheme of Examination
3 stages of exam:
- Preliminary Exam (objective) – It is of qualifying nature, ie, the marks obtained for this exam will not be considered for ranking. – Two Papers of 100 marks each
- Mains Exam (Descriptive) – Three Papers of 100 mark each
- Interview

Pattern of Mains Exam
Nothing much has been notified about the Mains exam except that it will be a descriptive paper with three papers each of 2 hours duration and that the exam can be written in both English/Malayalam.
