Kerala High Court Asst 2022 – Answer Key, Expected Cut off

High Court Asst 2021 was held on 27 Feb 2022. The exam is conducted to recruit assistants to the high court of Kerala. This year the anticipated vacancies were 55. The 2021 pattern of exam had a marked difference from the previous year question papers with more weightage  given to the English Section which occupied half of the objective question paper. 50 questions were solely from English section which comprised of Vocabulary and Grammar. This time there were no comprehension questions in the objective Paper. However, the English questions were a bit tricky for a novice especially the vocabulary part. Some options were really close.

In the General Awareness part, there were questions from Current Affairs, History, Polity, Computer Science, Geography, Kerala related facts and Science. Sticking to the new pattern, there were some statement wise questions in the General Awareness Part. Current Affairs ranged from the years 2020 to 2021. A systematic study of atleast a year was required to tackle the General Awareness  part.  The 10 questions in the Maths part was relatively easy. The negative marks this year is one-fourth.

Overall, the objective questions paper could be termed in the range of moderate considering the vacancies.

The Descriptive Paper also threw in some surprise with two essays- each of 150 words (to be chosen from 3 ), A comprehension with 10 questions and a precis to be written in 100 words.

Again with no watch allowed into the hall, it would have been quite tricky to complete all the questions. Some of the questions in the comprehension required some interpretations also. Overall, the descriptive paper could be termed easy.
